Final Thoughts
Lady of Darkness completely surprised me. It starts as what seems like the story of an assassin completing dangerous missions, but it quickly grows into something much bigger. Every chapter revealed new pieces of the world, the magic system, and Scarlett’s past, making it nearly impossible to stop reading.
One of my favorite parts of the book was how well balanced everything felt. The romance never overshadowed the fantasy, the action never felt repetitive, and the emotional moments gave the characters real depth. Scarlett is flawed, strong, and incredibly easy to root for.
The beginning requires a little patience because there’s a lot of, information to absorb, but once everything starts coming together, the story becomes incredibly addictive. By the end, I was completely invested in both the characters and the larger mystery surrounding the kingdom.
If you’re looking for a completed romantasy series with memorable characters, excellent world building, slow-burn romance, and plenty of twists, Lady of Darkness is one I highly recommend.
